The Swiss Association of Art Therapy Training Institutes SAATI consists of the training institutes for art therapy and represents their professional interests in Switzerland.
It aims to support its members in achieving the best possible conditions for their professional activities.

As an association, SAATI is independent with a non-commercial function. It is party political and nondenominational.
Responsibilities
In order to achieve its objectives, the SAATI provides support for
- the quality of the institutes for education in art therapy
- art therapy and its clients
- the recognition and awareness of art therapy in the public sphere
- the professional image
- the regulation and supervision of minimum requirements for its members
- the relations and collaboration among its members and other associations
- the representation of the interests of its members in politics and with authorities, health insurance companies and clinics
- continuing education for the profession as well as coordination of courses within professional education
- compliance with the association's ethical guidelines
- the dissemination of its members' information
- the diversity of methods in art therapy
- research in art therapy
- the handling of complaints
- services for members
- the appreciation for particular achievements in the field of art therapy, i.e. through the presentation of awards
